**Sauce has been tripled in this recipe. Note that two 1 lb pkgs of spaghetti noodles cooked will make enough noodles for 4 families (8 - 8x8 pans worth).**
1 lb lean ground beef
3 small onions chopped
1-1/2 tsp basil
3 cloves garlic
salt and pepper to taste
3 8oz cans tomato sauce
8oz shredded 2% mozzarella cheese
2 c cooked spaghetti
|
|
Brown ground beef and drain. Add tomato sauce, onions and spices and stir well. Place on low heat for 15-20 minutes. Cook Spaghetti
as directed. In a lightly greased 9x13 pan (or two 8x8 pans), place enough spaghetti to cover bottom of pan. Cover spaghetti with sauce and top with cheese. Repeat layers finishing with cheese on top. DO NOT COOK BEFORE FREEZING.
To Freeze: Place in a dish that can go from the freezer to the oven.
To Reheat: Defrost overnight and cook at 425 oven until cheese is melted. From Frozen, cook at 425 until hot and cheese is melted and bubbly.

4 stars! Good stuff! Seems to really dry out during the freezing/baking process. I recommend at least doubling the sauce, if not tripling.
